
A Country presentation on "Doing Business with Azerbaijan: Opportunities and Prospects" was held in Chicago
A Round Table discussion took place at DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago focused on Exploring New Marketing Opportunities in Central Asia. Organized by the Central Asian Productivity Research Center, with the support of the University, the agenda included presentations by experts and trade representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan. The event was designed to assist those companies that are both “new-to-export and “new-to-market”.
Along with the representatives from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, AZPROMO representative in the United States Elshan Baloghlanov made country presentation on "Doing Business with Azerbaijan: Opportunities and Prospects", where he particularly highlighted the industries that would be most attractive for U.S companies to do business with Azerbaijan. He noted the favorable government incentives for the import of foods & beverages, as well as wine and brandy products from Azerbaijan which raise the interest for U.S. businesses.
In addition to that prospects for U.S. businesses in such areas as cross-border financing for different market segments, particularly for export or capital equipment financing, insurance services for agriculture industry, organization of agro-services in Azerbaijan’s rural areas, and implementation of projects that will assist, facilitate and support small scale growers and food processors were highlighted during presentation.
