The 2nd Meeting of the Heads of Trade Promotion Organisations (TPO) of the member countries of Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) will be held in 2-3 May 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The meeting will be hosted by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), the government's major agency for export promotion in Azerbaijan.

The meeting will create an opportunity for the participants for enhancing the process of exchange of information on functions and activities, scope for cooperation in promotional activities. The meeting will also create a platform to discuss the intra-regional export opportunities, diversification of products and quality upgrade as well as to establish linkages between our agencies to share plans on the promotional activities and formulate perspective joint activities to stimulate diverse export and enhance institutional capacities.

AZPROMO is responsible for all organizational arrangements of the meeting in Baku. The local hospitality including accommodation and meals to two delegates (1 +1) from each Member State will be provided by the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The forum of Heads of ECO-TPOs was established not only to enhance cooperation in modernization and expansion of export-oriented industries, up-gradation of product standards and quality, value addition and diversification of exports but also to establish linkages between the responsible organizations for trade promotion so that their promotional activities and campaigns could effectively be coordinated at the regional level.
