Azerbaijan jumps 7 spots in the Global Competitiveness Index

Azerbaijan jumped up 7 spots in the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Global Competitiveness Report 2013-2014. The country now ranks 39thamong 148 economies in terms of competitiveness of economy improving from the last year's 46th place. The Index acknowledges once again that Azerbaijani economy is the most competitive in CIS followed by Kazakhstan (50th), Russia (64th), Georgia (72nd), Armenia (79th), Ukraine (84th), Moldova (89th) and Kyrgyz Republic (121st).
