Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Business Forum held in Baku

More than 70 entrepreneurs working in the spheres of petrochemical industry, energy, food industry , logistics etc., besides officials from the both sides, have participated in the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan business forum organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Industry and held in Baku Business Centre.
The head of the administration of the Ministry of Economy and Industry Samir Velieyv emphasized the importance Azerbaijan attaches to developing bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan, based on the principles of mutual friendship and partnership. He mentioned the existence of a solid international legal framework between the two countries, and the important role of high-level official visits and negotiations in the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation.  The positive influence of the Intergovernmental Commission's activity on the expansion of economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan was emphasized as well.
Underlining the significance of meetings held with the participation of business circles for economic cooperation, Mr. Veliyev said that the business forum would create new cooperation opportunities and trigger the bilateral trade.
Alik Aydirbayev, the akim of the Kazkhstan's Mangystau region, in his speech emphasized that the relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are developing and provided information on various sectors of the region's economy.  It was said that the two countries' regions are already cooperating successfully and there is still big potential for a further expansion. Alik Audarbekov urged Azerbaijani businessmen to invest in different sectors of the Mangystau region's economy. He said that the Logistics Center opened in Aktau by the Azerbaijani side will help intensifying the links between the two countries' businessmen.
Further on, the President of AZPROMO Rufat Mammadov informed the audience about the business and investment climate in Azerbaijan.
The representative of the Innovative Industry Development agency of Kazakhstan Jenisbek Saqindikov made a speech about the investment potential of Mangystau region, while the representatives of Sumgayit Chemical Industry Park (Kamran Eyyubov), "ASKI-Mangystau" company (Gennady Bodryadin) and "KazAzot" company (Ruslan Ayazbayev) informed the audience on the activities of the respective entities.
The forum continued with bilateral meetings between the entrepreneurs.
