The fourteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development kicked off in Nairobi, Kenya.
Numerous debates and round tables, thematic events, the World Investment Forum, Global Commodities Forum, Youth and Civil Society Forums and other events will be held from 17 to 22 July.
The conference covers the topics such as global promotion of export and investment, provision of relevant economic models that aim to achieve sustainable development and is attended by heads of various states and governments, ministers and representatives of business society and academia.
One of the most important events of the conference is the World Investment Forum that launched with the Global Investment Summit with participation of world leaders. The agenda of the Forum comprises the themes and discussions on investment promotion and, entrepreneurship and enterprise development, finance, development of private sector and others.
Senior officials of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) also participate in the Conference.
During the event, the meetings with Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kenya, Islamic Development Bank and General-Secretary of UNCTAD, Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi will take place. Moreover, Rufat Mammadov will lead the meeting of World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA).
