On August 14, the memorandum of understanding on the "Aktau Center for Production & Logistics" was signed at Baku Business Center by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and "Azersun Holding" from Azerbaijan side and "Special Economic Zone "Seaport Aktau" JSC from Kazakhstan side.
According to the Memorandum, the logistics center will be constructed in "Seaport Aktau" Special Economic Zone in Kazakhstan. The project will be realized by "Azersun Holding" and AZPROMO will provide all possible support to this project.
Logistic center will contribute to the development of the non-oil sector of both countries by expanding transit and export opportunities of the region. The investment project will be important in further expansion of economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, the development of transport infrastructure in the region and the increase of international freight transportation.
