The favorable business and investment climate established in Azerbaijan has improved the entrepreneurship and significantly enhanced its role in economy, and further increased an interest in the country economy. The visit of Austrian businessmen to Azerbaijan is the expression of interest in the macroeconomic stability, sustainable and firm economic development in the country.
Azerbaijani-Austrian business forum was organized by the organization of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Industry on December 5. Along with officials, about 130 entrepreneurs operating in industry, engineering, construction, food industry, service, consulting, packing, and logistic and etc. took part in the forum.
The head of AZPROMO Rufat Mammadov highlighted gave information on economic-trade relations between Azerbaijan and Austria, and highlighted the importance of such kind of events in further expansion of cooperation between the two countries, t the relations between the two countries, as well as in the development of ties between businessmen. Rufat Mammadov briefd participants on Azerbaijan's economic success achieved as a result of socio-economic policy implemented successfully in Azerbaijan and a favourable business and investment climate, large-scale projects. It was noted that "open door" policy is implemented for attraction foreign investments in the economy of the country. R.Mammaodov invited Austrian businessmen to mutual cooperation. Austrian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sylvia Meyer Kaibic spoke about existing relations between the countries.
Vice-President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Richard Schenz noted significance of usage of potential for extension of economic links between Azerbaijan and Austria. He noted that Austrian companies in Azerbaijan support Azerbaijan's development.Counselor of the head of AZPROMO Natig Madatov and deputy director general of "Advantage Austria" company Karl Hartleb made presentations on investment and business opportunities of Azerbaijan and Austria, respectively.
Within the framework of the videos on country presentations of Azerbaijan and Austria were shown business forum, as well as bilateral meetings were held among businessmen.
