On 15 July, Baku Business Centre hosted Azerbaijan-Belarus Business Forum that was organized by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO). Up to 100 entrepreneurs operating in various spheres, such as chemicals, agriculture and food industry, textile, metallurgy, engineering, paper industry etc., attended the forum.
The President of AZPROMO Rufat Mammadov gave thorough information on the economy of Azerbaijan, entrepreneurship, reforms in improving business and investment climate in recent years and stressed the importance of this 6th business forum in expanding relations betweeen businessmen of both countries.
Deputy General Director of the Minsk Branch of Belarusian Chamber of Commerse and Industry Tatyana Dubova talked about directions of trade and business relations expanding between Azerbaijan and Belarus.
During the forum, the short film about Belarus and its economy, business and investment climate of this country was presented to the guests.
Trade and Investment Advisor of the Embassy of Belarus to the Republic of Azerbaijan Leonid Lavrov, on his turn, drew attention to the economic relations, saying these networking events will positively contribute to trade and business of our countries.
Later, Director of Investment Department of AZPROMO Zaur Gardashov came up with a presentation on sector based investment opportunities in Azerbaijan, and explained "know-how" procedures to the guests.
Then, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation and Minsk Branch of Belarusian Chamber of Commerse and Industry on mutual beneficial cooperation.
B2B meetings among entrepreneurs and businessmen also took place.
