Business forums and business meetings play an important role in the establishment of business relations between local and foreign businessmen, increase of export and investment opportunities, as well as expansion of cooperation between the business circles.
On December 4, Azerbaijan – Republic of Tatarstan of the Federation of Russia business meeting was held at Baku Business Center. The business meeting was organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation with a support of the Ministry of Economy and Investment within the framework of the visit of Ravil Zaripov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Republic of Russia to Azerbaijan. Along with officials, businessmen operating in industry, energy, chemicals, shipbuilding, agriculture, health and other sectors from Azerbaijan and Tatarstan attended the meeting.
Speaking at a business forum Deputy Minister Niyazi Safarov highlighted that Azerbaijani-Russian relations, as well as the cooperation with the regions of the Federation of Russia are at high level. A solid contractual and legal base was established between the two countries; so far more than 30 documents were signed in the economic sphere. Furthermore, it was noted that, over the last three years 13 business forums, business meetings and exhibitions were held between Azerbaijan and the subjects of the Russian Federation. Today's business forum is the next step in further expansion of the current relations between Azerbaijan and regions of the Federation of Russia.
Ildar Mingalev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan highlighted that Tatarstan is interested in expansion of cooperation with Azerbaijan, and gave information on boosting cooperation on various fields of economy and investment opportunities of Tatarstan.
The head of AZPROMO Rufat Mammadov made presentations on economy, business and investment opportunities of Azerbaijan.
The president of National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers') Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic Mammad Musayev spoke about the work done for the development of entrepreneurship and highlighted the importance of the business meetings in expansion of the relations between entrepreneurs.
Within the event the video on the Republic of Tatarstan was demonstrated and bilateral meetings were held between the businessmen of the two countries.
