In the decree of the Head of Republic on «Additional measures towards the development of citrus fruits, tea and brown rice in Azerbaijan” dates 12 September 2017, the tasks on this field development are specified, conducting relevant measures for provision of constant support to tea growing development, more efficient organization of interrelations of farmers, suppliers, processors and exporters with state bodies and establishing the Association of Tea Producers and Exporters as well.

At the meeting held in Baku Business Center with the support of the Ministries of Economy and Agriculture and organization of Foundation of Promotion of Export and Investments (AZPROMO), discussions held with business owners engaged in this field and was decided to establish Association of Tea Producers and Exporters.

The head of “Astarachay” enterprise Talat Mammadov was elected the Chairman of the Board.

Association of tea producers and exporters will be essential from the point of business development, as well as enhancement of tea growing and export and export potential of our country.

Note: The Ministry of Economy entirely supports the joining of entrepreneurs in specialized associations, and to this day the Association has been established: Beekeepers, Winemakers, Producers and Exporters of pomegranate, hazelnut, fruit and vegetables, persimmons and textiles.
