Azerbaijan, Israel expand economic relations

The delegation headed by the co-chairman of the Joint Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Israel, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov made a working trip to Israel.

As part of the visit, a meeting of the co-chairmen of the Joint Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Israel - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov and the Israel Minister of Tourism of Yoel Razvozov took place. Mr. Jabbarov also met with Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman, Minister of Construction and Housing Policy Ze'ev Elkin and Regional Cooperation Minister Issawi Frej.

The meetings focused on discussions in the field of cooperation in high technology, digitalization, higher education, especially in the field of IT and cyber security, agriculture, renewable energy, expansion of mutual trade, tax issues, new opportunities for cooperation, reciprocal exchange of experience in the non-oil sector, as well as the upcoming projects for rehabilitation of our liberated territories, and expressed interest of Israeli companies in participating in the projects.

Israeli officials greatly appreciated the opening of Azerbaijani Trade and Tourism Missions in their countries, noting that it will be an important platform for expanding partnerships, business contacts between business circles, promoting business dialogue, and that the meetings and fruitful discussions will contribute to the strengthening of mutual cooperation and the implementation of joint projects, the development of trade, construction, agriculture, renewable energy, ICT, cyber security, tourism, etc.
