Baku hosted the 1st meeting of the Kazakh-Azerbaijani Business Council

Co-organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan - AZPROMO and the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan, the 1st meeting of the Kazakh-Azerbaijani Business Council took place in Baku. About 60 entrepreneurs working in the fields of food and textile industry, construction, logistics, transport, etc. attended the event together with state officials from both countries.

Addressing the event, the head of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev provided information on the favorable business and investment environment created in our country and noted that the Business Council created between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will facilitate the expansion of trade and economic partnership between our countries, promoting the development of relations between our business circles.

Stressing great interest in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in various areas of the economy, Chairman of the Board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan Ayan Erenov noted the great potential in this area and called on both countries' entrepreneurs to active cooperation.

Speaking at the Business Council meeting, the Chairman of the Board of KOBIA Orkhan Mammadov pointed out the role of entrepreneurs in strengthening business relations between the two countries and underlined the importance of the Business Council in expanding direct ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and implementing joint projects. Orkhan Mammadov also provided information about support and services rendered by KOBIA to entrepreneurs.

As part of the event, state institutions and private companies of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have signed several documents. These included a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between AZPROMO and the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan, a Cooperation Agreement between the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan and the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan, a Memorandum of Understanding between KOBIA and Kazakhstan JSC 'Trade Policy Development Center of QazTrade,' MoU between JSC QazTrade, Taiga Trade, and Maslo-Del to the amount of USD 2 million, the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between JSC QazTrade, Cool Infinity, and Foodcity Alliance LLC to the amount of USD 9 million, the Partnership Agreement between Kazakhstan's KTZ Express Hong Kong and Azerbaijan's ADY Container, and the minutes of the 1st meeting of the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Business Council.

The event continued its activity in the format of bilateral meetings held by entrepreneurs.
