Export and Investment Promotion Agency –  AZPROMO and the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) organized a business mission for Pakistani rice exporters to Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the event, the head of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev recalled that the import of Pakistani rice to Azerbaijan was exempted from customs duty for 5 years and said that this step opens new opportunities for Pakistani exporters.

Pakistan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bilal Khayi and president of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Chamber of Economic Cooperation (PAKAZCHAM) Khurram Bhatti noted that the visit of the Pakistani business delegation to Azerbaijan and discussions held will play an important role in expanding cooperation between business circles, and expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for the conditions created for Pakistani exporters.

The event included presentations of Pakistani companies and bilateral meetings of entrepreneurs.
