The meeting participants discussed the prospects for expanding investment and business cooperation.

A meeting was held between the Export and Investment Promotion Agency – AZPROMO and Egypt's General Administration for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI). During the meeting, Yusif Abdullayev, head of AZPROMO, provided information about the Agency's activities and exchanged views with his colleague Hossam Heiba, head of GAFI, on the implementation of useful business and investment opportunities with significant potential between Azerbaijan and Egypt.

For his part, Hossam Heiba pointed out the conditions created by GAFI for foreign investors, the services provided, and the Gold License initiative presented to facilitate the activities of foreign companies in Egypt. It was noted that Egypt's free zones are considered part of the special investment system and that GAFI directly supervises their investment activities. The potential for investment cooperation at this level was highly appreciated and several proposals for joint partnerships were presented.
