There was an exchange of views on the prospects of expansion of investment and business partnership between our countries.
The II meeting of the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Business Council was held in Baku under the joint organization of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO and the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan. Apart from government officials of both countries, the event was attended by entrepreneurs working in the fields of agriculture, food industry, textile production, construction, ICT, logistics, transport, tourism, etc.
Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Agalar Atamoglanov and Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alim Bael underlined our close political relations based on the political will of the heads of state and friendly relations and noted that mutual high-level visits and joint efforts of the presidents have made important contributions to the trade and economic relations of our countries.
Samir Valiyev, Deputy Minister of Energy, who participated in the event, noted that the favorable investment environment in Azerbaijan, including the privileges granted to investors in the territories liberated from occupation, creates important opportunities for the activation of investment partnerships with Kazakhstan.
Satzhan Ablaliyev, Deputy Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, spoke about the developing cooperation between our countries in the area of transport and logistics, in particular, within the framework of the Central Corridor project. He emphasized that the volume of transit transportation from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan of goods sent from China to Europe has increased several times, and noted that there is a significant potential for growth in this sector.
Co-Chairman of the Business Council from Azerbaijan Ibrahim Alisoy and Co-Chairman from Kazakhstan Abbat Urisbayev noted the important role of the mentioned platform in strengthening business partnerships and diversification of existing relations.
In addition, Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ACE), and Murat Kerimsakov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan, expressed their opinions and proposals on expanding cooperation in various sectors of the economy.
During the event, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" and ACE signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The event's activities continued in the form of bilateral meetings between entrepreneurs.
