At the event, issues of deepening economic relations between the countries were discussed and several documents were signed.

A meeting was held in Madrid with the participation of Spanish entrepreneurs between the Agency for the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services.

At the meeting, AZPROMO Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev noted the productivity of the events and meetings held during the visit and provided information on the main issues discussed. It was noted that following the main activities of the agency, AZPROMO is actively working with relevant Spanish structures to increase non-oil exports of Azerbaijan to Spain and attract Spanish companies to investment projects in our country.

The International Director of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted that such events are useful and important for the discussion of business prospects and investment opportunities between our countries. Vice-president of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry Augusto de Castañeda noted the strategic geographical location of our country and therefore highly estimated the potential development of investment and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Spain.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Spain Ramiz Hasanov, who also took part in the meeting, emphasized the role of close contacts between the organizations and expressed satisfaction with the joint activities of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and AZPROMO.

During the event, AZPROMO signed memorandums of understanding with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services to define the legal framework for cooperation.
