Australia-Azerbaijan Business forum was held on October 18 with support of Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan Republic and organization of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
Apart from officials, about 90 business owners engaged in different fields of economy attended the event.
The head of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) Rufat Mammadov informed about business and investment environment in Azerbaijan, as well as the measures carried out towards development of non-oil sector, export enhancement, promotion of “Made in Azerbaijan” brand and foreign investments and further improvement of business environment and noted the significance of establishing Trade Houses of Azerbaijan in foreign countries, appointing trading representatives from the point of view of promotion of Azerbaijan products in the export markets and support their sale. Rufat Mammadov invited Australian businessmen to take advantage of enabling business and investment environment created in Azerbaijan and active partnership with their Azerbaijani associates. The president of Azerbaijan-Australia friendship association John Hommond talked about the activity of establishment he manages and the works carried out on the enhancement of relationships between two countries.
Honorary consul of Azerbaijan in Australia Aydan Rzayeva noted that there is a great potential for further development of political, economical, humanitarian and other kind of relationships between Azerbaijan and Australia, mentioned the friendship and mutually effective partnership relationships between the countries. The head of Australia-Azerbaijan Board of Trade Nizami Jafarov informed the attendees about the works conducted towards establishing new relationships between the business owners.
Afterwards, the AZPROMO employee Mahammad Khalafov made a speech with a presentation on investment environment and business potential in Azerbaijan. The event lasted with a double-sided meeting among business owners, where were discussed the issues of enhancement of relationships and establishing new business partnership.
