On December 14 with support of Ministry of Economy and organization of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) Azerbaijan-Turkey business forum held.
Alongside with officials, about 70 businessmen from both sides engaged in food industry, health, tourism, industry and construction fields attended the event.
Vice-president of AZPROMO Murad Abdullayev made a presentation on business and investment environment in Azerbaijan, informed about the measures conducted towards non-oil sector development in Azerbaijan, economy diversification, stimulation of private sector development, as well as export enhancement, promotion of “Made in Azerbaijan” brand and foreign investments and further improvement of business environment.
The Head of Van Trading and Commerce Chamber Nejdet Takva noted that economic-trading relationsips between Azerbaijan and Turkey business communities are developing and marked the role of efficient usage of existing prospects in the development of bilateral relationships. He talked about activities carried out by Van Trading and Commerce Chamber towards establishing new relationships between businessmen and informed on economic potential of Van province.
An Understanding Memorandum was signed at the event between AZPROMO and Van Trading and Commerce Chamber of Turkey on the development of economic-trading and investment relationships, as well as interchange of experience on export and investment promotion field.
The Forum proceeded to bilateral meetings.
