The traditional “International Green Week-2014” exhibition has been going in Berlin since January 17. The exhibition which has been conducted every year since 1926 will continue until January 26.
In the Azerbaijani pavilion organized by the Ministry of Economy and Industry, more then 100 kinds of agriculture and food products produced in Azerbaijan are demonstrated. Along with the representatives of Ministry of Economy and Industry, Ministry of Agriculture, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), National Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, more than 10 companies are participating in the exhibition.
On January 17, the official opening ceremony involving officials and businessmen took place. During the opening ceremony, Minister of Food and Agriculture of Germany Hans Peter Friedrich, Mayor of Berlin Claus Vovereit, representatives of German state structures, official guests from other participating countries and businessmen visited the Azerbaijani pavilion. The Azerbaijani-made products arose great interest in participants who were informed on investment and business opportunities in Azerbaijan, as well as competitive products produced in this country in the sphere of agriculture. Various printed materials, magazines, brochures and disks about Azerbaijan were distributed to the visitors.
The special stand in the Azerbaijani pavilion features the products made by companies working in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
It should be emphasized that more than 20 thousand people per day visit this exhibition which involves more than 1500 enterprises and 5000 media representatives from more than 70 countries.
Within the framework of “International Green Week-2014” Minister of Agriculture of the Azerbaijani Republic Heydar Asadov has participated in the 6th Berlin Summit of agriculture ministers.
