Azerbaijan Trade House was opened in Riga, the capital of Latvia, on July 23. The officials of both countries, members of the task team on Azerbaijan-Latvia inter-parliamentary relations and entrepreneurs took part in the event organized in accordance with it.
Azerbaijan Trade House, being the result of the implementation of corresponding commission of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, will support the recognition of "Made in Azerbaijan" brand in Latvia market, the impulse and extension of the export of the products of Azerbaijan, will organize their sale in Latvia, will implement the coordination in this field.
The exhibition of different products of Azerbaijani companies was organized in the "Trade house". There are about 70 types of wine products, 26 types of brandy, 10 types of vodka, 26 types of tea, 23 types of fruit juice and compote, more than 70 types of other products, including vegetable oil, olive, nut, rise, fruits and vegetables, textile and cosmetic products, industrial products, tourism services manufactured and produced by Azerbaijani companies demonstrated at the exhibition, which will functioning permanently. Sahib Mammadov, the deputy minister of economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, spoken at the opening ceremony, said, that the opening of Azerbaijan Trade House in Latvia shows great importance given by the heads of states to the development of economic-commercial relations between our countries, the interest in Azerbaijani products in Latvia. He noted, that Azerbaijan-Latvia relations, based on mutual respect and friendship are successfully developed and that the opening of "Azerbaijan Trade House" in Latvia will make the contribution in the extension of economic relations between two countries. Sahib Mammadov, spoken about the investment relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia, noted, that 164 million USD was invested by Azerbaijan for Latvia, and 84 million USD was invested by Latvia for the economy of Azerbaijan. 40 Latvian companies in the field of construction, service, industry, communication, transport, trading, banking and insurance carries out the activity in Azerbaijan. Uldis Augulis, the cochairman of Azerbaijan-Latvia intergovernmental commission of the Republic of Latvia, the minister of transport of Latvia, said, that the starting of the functioning of "Azerbaijan Trade House" in Riga is important step in the development of bilateral economic relations, that it's important in the development of economic collaboration and business relations between our countries. Arvils Asheradens noted, that he was sure, that mutual relations between Latvia and Azerbaijan would be extended also in future, and said, that the directions of the extension of the collaboration are to be discussed. Kamran Bayramov, the chief of the of Azerbaijan-Latvia inter-parliamentary friendship group, noted, that the opening of "Azerbaijan Trade House" in Latvia is important in the development of economic relations between two countries, and said, that the businessmen must use this opportunity. The Agreement memorandum about the export of the products manufactured in Azerbaijan to Latvia was signed within the event between Azerbaijani "Kaslar" LLC and "Bina Agro" LLC companies and Latvian companies. Then, the participants of the event became acquainted with "Azerbaijan Trade House" and the exhibition of Azerbaijani products, which will function permanently. Within the visit, Azerbaijani representatives staff met Arvils Asheradens, the deputy of prime-minister of Latvia, the minister of economy and talked about current mutual economic relations.
