Azerbaijan-Slovenia business meeting was held on March 4, organized by the Azerbaijani Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and supported by the Ministry of Economy and Industry. During the meeting delegation led by Mjtya Berva, the Chairman of the National Council of the Parliament of Slovenia, were present.

Niyazi Safarov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, gave information about the country's socio-economic policy on the economic successes, affordability and attractiveness of Azerbaijan for foreign investment.

Niyazi Safarov said that there is a great potential for Azerbaijan and Slovenia for to expand their economic relations, he noted, there are trends in the development of economic relations with the effective use of this relations the expansion of ties between business leaders in the development of trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia can be achieved.

It was noted that the intensification of relations between Slovenia`s and Azerbaijan`s Export and Investment Promotion agencies led them to collaborate successfully. Expansion of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia is increasing trade between these countries. Chairman of the National Council of the Parliament of Slovenia, Mitja Bervar, expressed his satisfaction with the visit, said his country was interested in expanding trade and economic relations with Azerbaijan.

Rufat Mammadov, President of AZPROMO, gave promotion about country's economic success, favorable business and investment climate. He emphasized that Azerbaijan is an attractive country for foreign investment, and asked Slovenian businessmen to be active for the future corporations.

During the meeting chiefs of Slovenian companies gave information about their companies from various sectors industry, tourism and so on. and exchanged views on the development of cooperation opportunities.
