On 30 September, supported by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), first session of Azerbaijan-Russian Business Council was held in Baku Business Centre. Representatives of up to 50 leading companies operating in agriculture and food industry, construction, finance and other sectors attended the session.
Deputy Minister of Economy Sahil Babayev drew attention to economic relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, mentioning the importance of the Council in expanding the links among business circles and followed to express his belief in the Council’s undertakings.
The Chairman of the Council Isgandar Khalilov talked about the designation and responsibilities of this body in improving business and investment climate between these two countries and called the businessmen to cooperate more closely.
Then, the vice-president of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev and Chairman of the Council of Directors of “Atashgah Hayat Sigorta” briefed about the projects that are being implemented that serve the betterment of networking and cooperation.
The session ended with discussions among business people.
