An exchange of views was held on cooperation in the areas of increasing non-oil exports and investment promotion. It was decided to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with ICIEC, a member of the IDB Group.

The Export and Investment Promotion Agency – AZPROMO hosted a meeting within the framework of the mission of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, Yusif Abdullayev, Head of AZPROMO, provided information on the Agency's activities, export and investment promotion mechanisms, the approval of the National Export Strategy, and the steps taken to expand the geography of exports. It was reported that close partnerships have been established with various international and foreign institutions, especially the World Association of Investment Agencies (WAIPA) and relevant institutions in Turkey, as part of the support measures for exporters. In addition, Yusif Abdullayev noted that AZPROMO is currently working on the establishment of "Eximbank" (export-import) instruments in our country.

Oguz Aktuna, Manager of the Business Development Department in the Asian region of the Islamic Corporation for Investment and Export Credit Insurance (ICIEC), a member of the IDB Group, informed about the activities of the organization he represented and noted that to promote exports from Azerbaijan and the inflow of foreign direct investment into the country, the Corporation cooperates with the country in various areas such as public-private partnership, transport, and logistics, telecommunications, health and education, as well as the provision of insurance and reinsurance solutions.

To define the legal basis for future cooperation, the participants of the meeting decided to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between ICIEC and AZPROMO.
