AZPROMO meets with Uzbek holding company

A discussion was held on the prospects of implementing potential investment projects in our country with the company 'Artel,' a subsidiary of the Uzbek holding 'AKFA Group.' Additionally, matters concerning collaboration with AZPROMO were addressed.

The Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO hosted a meeting with representatives of the Uzbek 'AKFA Group,' one of the largest holdings in Central Asia.

During the meeting, Yusif Abdullayev, Head of AZPROMO, provided information about the Agency's activities, the favorable business and investment environment established in our country, and the privileges provided to investors and exporters, including logistics subsidies, tax benefits, and other incentive mechanisms under development.

Bahadir Abdullayev, Chief Executive Officer of AKFA Group, stressed the conditions created in our country for foreign investors and developed infrastructure and informed that within the framework of implementing potential investment projects in Azerbaijan by Artel Company, which is a part of the conglomerate, they are primarily interested in building enterprises for the production of household appliances.

Yusif Abdullayev, Head of AZPROMO, emphasized that the agency is ready to support the company and shared his view on determining the legal framework for future cooperation. An agreement was reached on information exchange in this area.

In conclusion, a short video was displayed about AKFA Group's activities and implemented projects.

Note: AKFA Group Holding comprises manufacturers of construction materials, household and electrical products, along with enterprises in the fields of tourism, education, and medicine. This diverse portfolio positions it as Uzbekistan's leading producer and exporter of aluminum and plastic profiles. With a remarkable track record spanning 23 years in the market, the conglomerate executed export transactions amounting to USD 210 million in 2022, reaching 35 countries, including Azerbaijan.
