The meeting participants noted the role of SPECA Week in the development of cooperation between the countries and discussed the activation of trade relations.

Executive Director of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev met with the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Jumakhonzoda.

During the meeting, Yusif Abdullaev provided information on the Agency's activities and work done to attract non-oil investments in the country's economy. The parties exchanged views on the importance of the event "SPECA Countries Exhibition: Regional Cooperation for Sustainable Development" held on the special initiative of Azerbaijan within the SPECA Week, prospects of expanding bilateral economic cooperation, and increasing trade exchange. In this context, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan, who visited AZPROMO in September of this year, was highly commended.

Stating that the organization he represents is the largest in Tajikistan, Jamshed Jumakhonzoda provided detailed information about the Chamber and spoke about the upcoming amendments to the law that regulates the Chamber's activities. The Chairman of the Chamber noted the high level of organization of the SPECA exhibition, where Tajikistan represented the country stand, and noted that the above initiative served as an important platform for expanding partnership between the countries.

The meeting participants focused on the activities of the existing joint ventures, particularly the plant for the production of composite pipes, which was opened in 2021 in Dushanbe. In conclusion, Jamshed Jumakhonzoda invited Azerbaijani companies to actively participate in the exhibitions organized by AZPROMO in Tajikistan.
