Today marks the 5th anniversary of the establishment of AZPROMO.

On 28 December 2018, the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan - AZPROMO was established as a public legal entity under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 451 "On further improvement of management in the field of export and investment promotion."

It should be remembered that to attract foreign investments in the non-oil sector and stimulate exports of non-oil products, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan established AZPROMO in 2003 as the Export and Investment Promotion Foundation in Azerbaijan. In 2018, by Decree No. 451 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Foundation was abolished and its facilities and equipment were used to establish the Agency with the status of a public legal entity.
