On the first day of the visit, an opening ceremony dedicated to the buyer mission was held. During the event, possibilities of increasing Azerbaijan's exports to Korea were discussed and Korean companies were familiarized with local products.

The Export and Investment Promotion Agency of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) organized an event dedicated to the buyer mission of South Korean companies in Azerbaijan under the leadership of the Korean Importers Association (KOIMA).

Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO, speaking about the close cooperation of the Agency with Korean trade and investment promotion organizations, noted that the organization of joint business events, including the participation of local exporters in exhibitions held in Korea, contributes to the deepening of partnership between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

Speaking at the event, Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lee In-Young noted the successful development of relations between the two countries and the significant increase of interest in Azerbaijan in Korea.

Chairman of KOIMA Kim Ben-Kwan noted the important role of imported goods in the work of the Korean industry. He said that Korea has a great demand for industrial and agricultural products from Azerbaijan and highly estimated the potential for export expansion.

At the end of the event, the Korean delegation got acquainted with and tasted the local products presented at the exhibition by more than 30 Azerbaijani companies.

It should be noted that within the framework of the buyer mission, the Korean delegation will visit food and wine production enterprises in different regions of the country and hold meetings with various entities.
