Azerbaijan-Latvia Business Forum held

The sides exchanged views on deepening trade and investment relations and held bilateral meetings between entrepreneurs.

Baku hosted the Azerbaijan-Latvia Business Forum, which was organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO. In addition to government officials, the event was attended by representatives of companies active in agriculture, food industry, ICT, trade, and other spheres.

Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov emphasized the development of trade and economic cooperation between the countries and noted the importance of further strengthening these relations by increasing their intensity between business circles. The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the potential of the agricultural sector in the context of the expansion of investment and trade partnership between Azerbaijan and Latvia.

Speaking at the forum, State Secretary of the Latvian Ministry of Agriculture Raivis Kronbergs spoke about Latvia's successful investment partnership with Azerbaijan within the framework of the European Union's twinning programs and noted that there are wide prospects for cooperation between Latvia and our country in the fields of agriculture, renewable energy, ICT, and tourism.

Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO, emphasized Azerbaijan's export and investment potential, while Romans Naudins, Advisor to the Latvian Ministry of Agriculture, spoke about the opportunities offered by his country in the field of agriculture. Representatives of Latvian companies also made presentations at the forum.

The event continued with B2B meetings.
