Azerbaijan-Slovakia Business Forum held in Baku

The business forum provided information on the business and investment climate in our countries and discussed areas that hold great promise for the future.

The Azerbaijan-Slovakia Business Forum was held in Baku with the support of the Ministries of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Slovakia, the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO and the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO). In addition to officials from both countries, the event was attended by representatives of companies from the ICT, education, transport, energy, defence, pharmaceutical, food, and other sectors.

Deputy Minister of Economy Anar Akhundov noted that the relations between the two countries have reached the level of strategic partnership and highly appreciated the potential of developing mutually beneficial trade and investment relations. The expansion of contacts between entrepreneurs and the activation of work in this area by relevant institutions were emphasised. It was noted that continuous measures are being taken at both institutional and practical levels to attract foreign investment and improve the business and investment climate in Azerbaijan.

Kamil Šaško, Deputy Minister of Economy of Slovakia, noted the strengthening of trade and economic cooperation between our countries and the importance of promoting cooperation and mutual investment between business entities. The Deputy Minister also noted that cooperation in various sectors has great prospects.

During the business forum, representatives of AZPROMO and SARIO made presentations on the investment and export potential of both countries.

B2B meetings were held during the business forum.
