During the meeting, ideas were exchanged on the joint implementation of potential projects.
Within the framework of COP29, the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO held a meeting with a delegation of project owners selected as winners of the Egyptian National Initiative for Smart Green Projects (NISGP), led by Hisham Badr, Egypt's Assistant Minister of Planning and Economic Development for Strategic Partnerships, Best Practices and Initiatives.
AZPROMO Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev stressed that the meetings between the business communities of Egypt and Azerbaijan, organised by the Agency and held in Baku and Cairo, have created a solid basis for strengthening our economic ties. During the meeting, information was presented on the activities of AZPROMO and the cooperation established by the Agency with the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones of Egypt (GAFI).
Assistant Minister Hisham Badr shared his views on the potential partnership opportunities offered by the projects included in the NISGP initiative, which include green energy, agriculture, water management technologies, waste management, industry and innovation. It was noted that the joint implementation of the proposed 18 potential projects can greatly contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals both in Egypt and in our country.
