On October 15, a delegation of Azerbaijani officials and businessmen headed by Shahin Mustafayev, the Minister of Economy and Industry, participated in the Economy and Investment Forum in Dushanbe. The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon made a speech at the forum and plenary sessions about the possibilities of investment in various sectors of the economy of Tajikistan were held.
The forum created an opportunity to Azerbaijani businessmen who attended the event to learn more about the business and investment climate in Tajikistan, find new business partners and to expand business relations.
Within the Economy and Investment Forum, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan Business Forum also was held. Along with officials, around 100 businessmen from both sides, operating in agriculture, industry, construction, finance, ICT, energy, health care and other sectors participated at the event.
The Head of AZPROMO Rufat Mammadov, gave information about Azerbaijani economy, business climate, investment and export opportunities in the country, and invited the business people who attended the forum to cooperate with Azerbaijani companies.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Saidrahmon Nazriyev in his speech spoke about
investment opportunities in Tajikistan.
The businessmen also had presentations about the activity of their company.
The event continued with bilateral meetings to discuss cooperation opportunities between businessmen.
