On May 19 the 9th Annual Silk Road Conference was organized by Central Asian Productivity Research Center and Northern Illinois University with the support of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), Silk Way Airlines, Turkish Airlines and Hacitepe University of Turkey  in Chicago.  
AZPROMO representative in the United States Elshan Baloglanov delivered country presentation on "Doing Business with Azerbaijan: Opportunities and Prospects", where he particularly highlighted the industries, including Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park and Techno Park that would be most attractive for U.S companies and investors to do business with Azerbaijan.
In addition, other prospects for U.S. businesses in such areas of economy as information technologies, tourism, hotel & hospitality management, insurance services for agriculture industry, food processing and packaging, organization of agro-services in Azerbaijan’s rural areas, and implementation of projects that will assist, facilitate, support and increase export capacities of small scale growers and food processors were highlighted during presentation.
