The I European-Azerbaijani Investment Conference held in Baku on 11 September, 2013. Such event which became the business platform between European countries and Azerbaijan was organized first time ever in order to promote Azerbaijan as an investment destination. The fact of participation of more than 190 business people from 12 countries proves the huge interest to this conference.
The event was organized by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) jointly with The German Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan), EUROCHAMBRES, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers') Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic in Baku.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development Sevinj Hasanova, German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Heidrun Tempel, the acting head of the EU mission to Azerbaijan Toralf Pilz, Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry Birgit Arens had speeches at the event and the head of AZPROMO Rufat Mammadov made a presentation on the business and investment climate of Azerbaijan.
Expert panels on Agriculture, ICT, Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Construction discussed the business and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan.
The event continued with the bilateral meeting among the businessmen.
