Within the framework of the visit of the delegation led by Grant Winton, the delegation of Trade Development and International Relations Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Province of Alberta, Canada, a meeting was held in Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation on May 29.
Head of AZPROMO Rufat Mammadov briefed the delegation on economic growth of Azerbaijan, favourable business and investment climate, regional projects carried out with participation of Azerbaijan, as well as activity of AZPROMO.
Mr.Grant Winton highlighted that Canada has a great interest in Azerbaijan's economy. It was noted that both countries has great potential to expand economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Canada.
The presentations of Canadian companies operating in the field of agriculture, as well as livestock, manufacturing and processing of agricultural equipment were made at the meeting.
During the meeting, investment opportunities of Azerbaijan were discussed, questions by the guests were answered, and also it was mentioned that AZPROMO would give certain assistance on the arrangement of business activities in Azerbaijan.
At the end of the meeting, the bilateral meetings were held among businessmen.
