On April 14, Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, participated in Azerbaijan-Serbia business meeting during his visit to Azerbaijan, which was organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO). There were officials and business people form various fields in Azerbaijan in the business meeting.
Shahin Mustafayev, Minister of Industry and Economy of Azerbaijan, welcomed guests, and indicated good political relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia, and this leads to improve relations in the economical and other fields, which is developed by the support of the presidents of both countries. Business forums and meetings between Azerbaijan and Serbia, which are organized by Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation, help to improve relations of our countries. Azerbaijani companies perform very well in Serbia, and Serbian companies invest and are also successful in Azerbaijan nowadays. “AzVirt” Azerbaijani Construction company build roads in Serbia, and relations between the two countries in various sectors of the economy has great potential for further expansion.
The Minister, Shahin Mustafayev, emphasized that both sides are interested in expanding economic ties. It is no coincidence that the Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić of the Republic of Serbia has also included a meeting with business leaders to his program. The Minister, Shahin Mustafayev, informed about the economy, macroeconomic stability and sustainable economic development, 3 times increased GPD in the last 10 years, creation of favorable business and investment climate in Azerbaijan.
Aleksandar Vučić noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia developed a lot and Azerbaijani companies are successfully operating Serbia (“AzVirt”), and the meetings between business people and business forums are contributing to the development of economic cooperation between the two countries, emphasized that it allows entrepreneurs to establish a new relationship. He also added that Azerbaijani companies are operating in construction, agricultural, chemical and so on. The projects in Serbia that they were invited to participate in the privatization process.
In addition, there is great potential for increasing trade. The Prime Minister noted that the Baku-Belgrade flights could be opened by the end of the year, it is important in the development of relations in the field of tourism.
