Meeting held with entrepreneurs exporting excise products

Reportedly, an excise goods clearance facility has been established at the International Automobile Customs Checkpoint Yarag-Hazmalar. The Agency for Export and Investment Promotion – AZPROMO held a meeting to provide entrepreneurs with information about it.

Earlier, the head of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev stated that the lack of a special customs facility for the registration of excise goods at the International Automobile Customs Checkpoint Yarag-Gazmalar had complicated the expansion of exports of this category of products - mainly comprising alcoholic beverages and tobacco products - to Russia. He noted that this issue concerns both countries and is regularly discussed at meetings held by their respective entities. It is noted that since October 7, an excise goods clearance facility has been operating at the International Automobile Customs Checkpoint Yarak-Gazmalar thus creating additional opportunities for entrepreneurs to expand exports of their products.

Elchin Madatov, Chairman of the Association of Wine Producers and Exporters of Azerbaijan, stressed that the opening of the BCP for clearance of excise goods exported to Russia has eliminated the existing difficulties in the export of wine to Russia as well as expressed gratitude on behalf of entrepreneurs for the conditions created for exporters.
