The prospects for developing trade and economic relations with Tajikistan were discussed, and proposals for organizing joint events were put forward.
A meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan Ilhom Abdurahmon was held at the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO.
During the meeting, AZPROMO head Yusif Abdullayev provided information on the Agency's activities and mentioned that the International Investment Forum scheduled for September 29-30 in Dushanbe, with the participation of an Azerbaijani delegation and the support of AZPROMO, will facilitate the enhancement of cooperation between the countries, including at the regional level.
Emphasizing the existence of close political ties between the countries based on the political will of the heads of state and friendly relations, Ambassador Ilhom Abdurahmon stated that mutual high-level visits and joint efforts of the presidents have had a positive impact on the trade and economic relations of our countries. Stressing the broad prospects for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, transport, and telecommunications, the ambassador shared his thoughts on the effective implementation of these sectors' potentials.
It was noted that the events held during the meeting serve as an important platform for signing partnership documents, paving the way for the implementation of joint initiatives between business circles and relevant state organizations, and the sides exchanged views on the possibilities of organizing a joint business forum in Baku next year.
