The business forum participants discussed opportunities for expanding trade and economic cooperation and emphasized the importance of joint initiatives for establishing investment partnerships. During the event, documents have been signed between the government structures of the two countries.
Morocco-Azerbaijan Business Forum was held in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, within the framework of the 2nd meeting of the Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco. The event was jointly organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO and the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investment and Export (AMDIE). Along with government officials, the event was attended by representatives of companies operating in the fields of agriculture, food industry, construction, tourism, services, education, ICT, finance, and textile production. Mohsin Jezouli, Minister of Investment, Convergence, and Public Policy Assessment under the Head of Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, and Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs and co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission, delivered speeches at the opening of the forum.
During the event, Mehdi Tazi, Vice President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Yusif Abdullayev, Head of AZPROMO, Ali Seddiqi, CEO of AMDIE, Brahim Arjdal, CEO of the Moroccan National Agency for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (Maroc PME), Orhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), and Ismail Manafov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Alat Free Economic Zone made presentations on national investment and trade opportunities.
The parties have signed several documents within the framework of the forum. Memorandums of Understanding were signed between AZPROMO and AMDIE and between KOBIA, AMDIE, and Maroc PME.
The event proceeded in the format of B2B and B2G meetings.
