Meeting with CGEM held in Rabat

The meeting participants discussed the expansion of cooperation relations, which are at the initial stage of development.

Within the framework of the Moroccan-Azerbaijani Business Forum held in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, and jointly organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), Yusif Abdullayev, head of AZPROMO, met with Mehdi Tazi, Vice President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM).

During the meeting, Yusif Abdullayev noted the visit of the Agency's representatives to Morocco in February of this year and the business forum held, emphasizing the broad prospects for rapid development of relations at the initial stage. It was noted that AZPROMO undertakes intensive and comprehensive measures to promote non-oil exports in Azerbaijan.

Mehdi Tazi provided detailed information about the structure of CGEM, which includes more than 100 thousand member companies and 37 federations. It was noted that there is great interest in automobile manufacturing and textile sectors being developed with the support of the organization and that potential investments are envisaged for these key sectors. In addition, information was provided on Morocco's free economic zones. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the dynamics of trade turnover of both countries and the trends observed in foreign trade.
