Azerbaijan-Bashkortostan Business Forum held in Baku

There was an exchange of views on the intensification of relations with Bashkortostan. Documents between the companies were signed.

An Azerbaijan-Bashkortostan business forum was held in Baku organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO. In addition to government officials, the event was attended by representatives of agricultural, food, pharmaceutical, logistics, consulting, trade, and other companies.

Speaking at the forum, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agency for Small and Medium Business Development (KOBIA), informed about the Agency's activities and said that relations with the constituent entities of the Russian Federation are actively developing. Orkhan Mammadov informed the participants about the experience of Azerbaijan in the field of small and medium business and shared his opinion about the potential of partnership with relevant structures of Bashkortostan in this area.

Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan spoke about the opportunities of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic, investment potential, and free economic zones. The potential of a mutually beneficial trade and investment partnership with Azerbaijan was highly appreciated and the current prospects for the expansion of bilateral relations were emphasized.

Referring to the rich history of cooperation between our country and the Republic of Bashkortostan in the oil sector, Deputy Executive Director of AZPROMO Tural Hajili, who spoke at the event, noted that there are ample opportunities for development of economic relations in the non-oil sector. It was noted that in its activities AZPROMO pays special attention to the cooperation of the constituent entities of Russia, as business events are held jointly with different regions of the country. The Agency also plans to take steps to expand trade relations with Bashkortostan, identify priority areas, and establish ties on specific products between the private sectors of the republics. During the event, Ruslan Mirsayapov, Russia's trade representative in Azerbaijan, spoke about the deepening of economic relations.

During the forum, a ceremony of signing documents between the organizations was held. Cooperation agreements were signed between the Association of Exhibition Organizers of Azerbaijan and LLC "Bashkir Exhibition Company", as well as LLC "MT Group" and LLC NVP "BashIncom" from Bashkortostan. The work of the event continued in the format of B2B meetings.
