The sides exchanged views on expanding trade relations and activating business partnerships between our countries.
A meeting with a delegation from Kazakhstan led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan Alim Bayel was held at the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of Azerbaijan - AZPROMO. The meeting was attended by the Azerbaijani co-chairman of the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Business Council, Ibrahim Alisoy, and the newly appointed Kazakh co-chairman, Dauren Bimov, as well as entrepreneurs from both countries in the fields of furniture production, healthcare, law, and transport and logistics.
Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO, spoke about the high prospects for growth of trade turnover between our countries and noted that the agency is ready to provide full support to the work carried out in this area. Ambassador Alim Bael emphasised that relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are at the level of strategic partnership, and spoke about the effective cooperation of our countries in the framework of regional transport and energy initiatives.
The co-chairs of the Kazakh-Azerbaijani Business Council drew particular attention to the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in expanding existing trade relations. It was noted that thanks to the active activities of this platform, favourable conditions have been created for the utilisation of opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between SMBs of the two countries.
During the meeting, business representatives also shared their views on intensifying joint activities.
