The business forum Azerbaijan-Croatia was held organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) under support of the Ministry of Economics on 29 April.
More than 80 enterprisers operating in different fields of economy from both sides participated in the event along with the officials.
Rufat Mammadov the Deputy Minister of Economics making speech in the business forum emphasized the development of economic-commercial relations of Azerbaijan-Croatia. It was mentioned that, 22 documents were signed up to now in different fields between Azerbaijan and Croatia. The Croation companies operaties succesfully in Azerbaijan. The trade turnover increased 16% in comparison with other years and contains 250 million dollars. Rufat Mehdiyev giving information on Azerbaijan economy, systemized and successive economic reforms realized brought into attention that, the position of our country is becoming well continuosly in the reports of the international organizations, Azerbaijan stands in the 25th place among 190 countries moving forward 32 levels, and it was included to the raw of 10 most reformist countries.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that, the business forum is the useful platform for conducting the discussions among the business circles, the determination of the perspective fields of the cooperation, and invited the businessmen from Croatia to make advantages from the useful business and investment environment created in Azerbaijan.
Maria Burich the Deputy Head Minister of the Republic of Croatia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Matters expressed her satisfaction from her visit to Azerbaijan, emphasized the active participation of the businessmen in the business forum realized today as the interest of the mutual relations development, and it will contribute the expansion of the business forum cooperation, and the formation of new relations. Maria Beruch emphasized the importance of opening of the Embassy of Croatia in Azerbaijan in expansion of the socio-political relations in Azerbaijan as an important country of the region.
