As part of COP29, an event on climate innovations was organized at the "Trade and Investment House" stand located in the Green Zone by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency – AZPROMO and the British Chamber of Commerce.

Held in a panel session format, the event featured prominent speakers, including Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO; John Patterson, Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce Azerbaijan; Chris Skidmore, Chair of the Climate Action Coalition; Martin Baxter, Deputy Director of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment; Gudrun Cartwright, Director of Climate Action at Business in the Community; and Julia Beck, Director of Strategy and Impact at UK Export Finance.

The discussions emphasized the importance of innovative approaches to address gaps in financing climate action. The speakers highlighted the need for international cooperation to accelerate effective solutions for mitigating the negative impacts of climate change. Additionally, participants explored the significance of green investments in ensuring sustainable economic development and shared insights on expanding climate-resilient business models.
