The organization of 'Made in Azerbaijan' shelves in stores/chain stores operating in foreign countries, including Duty-Free shops

The organization of 'Made in Azerbaijan' shelves in stores and Duty-Free shops in foreign countries is a support measure designed to promote and advance national non-oil sector products under a single brand throughout the world.

The Ministry of Economy shall determine and announce the list of stores and Duty-Free shops to accommodate the 'Made in Azerbaijan' shelves, including the list of goods to be placed on these shelves, taking into account the export potential of non-oil sector products, requests of exporters, international trade, and economic relations of Azerbaijan.            

Under this support measure, the state budget shall cover all expenses related to land lease/management, transportation, and customs clearance.

The stores and Duty-Free shops operating in foreign countries shall be defined by the following criteria:

• the export potential of Azerbaijani products to the relevant country;
• whether the store/shop is part of a network of stores widely known to consumers;
• the volume of passenger traffic in the Duty-Free operation regions and the importance of these areas in terms of international transport hubs;

The exporters to place their products on the shelves shall undergo a competitive selection procedure: an announcement about the competition shall be published in the Announcements section at least 15 days before the date of the competition.

Note! The Announcement about the competition shall display the list of Duty-Free shops and products.

Applications shall be evaluated on the following criteria:

• the exporter's capacity to produce the product;
• export potential of the exporter to the target country or countries;
• export related experience;
