Promotion of the 'Made in Azerbaijan' brand through state-owned and/or state-controlled legal entities.

Promotion of the 'Made in Azerbaijan' brand through state-owned or state-controlled legal entities is a support measure designed to ensure the promotion of national non-oil sector products under one brand name in foreign countries and provide for their widespread recognition.

The ‘Made in Azerbaijan’ brand shall be promoted by state-owned/state-controlled legal entities with the controlling interest belonging to the state as well as by their representative offices and branches in the foreign countries. The Ministry of Economy is responsible for determining the list of the aforementioned legal entities.    

The expenses associated with the promotion of the 'Made in Azerbaijan' brand through these legal entities shall be reimbursed within 20 business days after the submission of their documents.

Exporters intending to promote their products through representative offices and branches of legal entities abroad shall undergo a competitive selection procedure; an announcement about the competition shall be published in the Announcements section at least 15 days before the date of the competition.       

Note! The announcement on the contest shall include the name of the foreign country where the 'Made in Azerbaijan' brand will be promoted, the corresponding foreign branch, and the representative office of the legal entity.   

After submitting applications, the competitive commission established by the Ministry of Economy shall hold a competition on a predetermined date to select exporters as well as evaluate the applications and make a decision.

Applications shall be evaluated on the following criteria:

• the exporter's capacity to produce the product;
• export potential of the exporter to the target country/countries;
• export related experience;

The candidates achieving a minimum passing score on the above criteria shall be declared winners.

The contestants shall be notified of the results within 2 business days after the competition
